The infamous gas mask glitch returns in Call of Duty: Warzone 2, allowing players to continuously hide inside the gas for an unfair advantage.
Unfortuitously for Call of Duty fans: The frustrating and game-breaking infinite gas mask glitch has returned, Warzone players. Although proximity chat and the refreshed Warzone have been well received by many fans, the gameplay has not always been smooth.
With constantly updated live service titles, bugs and glitches are expected to occur from time to time; however, there have already been a number of game-breaking and frustrating issues.
During the initial days of Warzone’s release, some players began to experience an odd bug that basically prevented them from playing. Warzone players would try to join a new match, seemingly at random, and instead, get a message telling them to buy Modern Warfare 2 to get access to everything.
Even though Warzone is a separate game that is free to play, some people took the advice to heart and bought the full game. A fix has since resolved that issue, but a new issue based on a bug from a few years ago has surfaced.
In the past, Call of Duty: Players of Warzone have discovered that the infinite gas mask glitch has returned, allowing them to easily win by hiding inside the gas.Nickool posted a video of the glitch on Twitter, showing a player running around the gas picking off players who were not expecting it.
The player was never in any danger because the health bar remained full even as the mask-breaking animation and sound effects continued.
Even though the glitch-using player was dealt a little bit of karma when they were defeated at the end of the video, the issue needs to be fixed right away because it gives players a huge unfair advantage over legitimate players.
Although reports indicate that the bug as a whole function in a manner that is comparable to the Max Money glitch that fans have discovered in DMZ, Raven has not yet added the glitch to their Trello board.
The infinite gas mask glitch is one that originated in Verdansk for the original Warzone experience, which may be disappointing to current players.
During the first year of Warzone, players discovered a number of issues with the mask, one of which allowed players to completely negate damage while standing in the gas.
However, a new glitch that gave Warzone players an unbreakable gas mask, similar to what fans are currently experiencing, was discovered months later.
Game of the Year: PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S all support Warzone 2.
