The second instalment of the five-match Twenty20 International series was an exciting contest. On a batting-friendly field, it turned out to be a high-scoring game. When given the chance to bat, the Australians once again displayed their supremacy, reaching 187 runs for the loss of only one wicket, thanks to another outstanding effort from Beth Mooney and Tahlia McGrath.
Smriti Mandhana’s magnificent innings and cameo contributions from Harmanpreet Kaur and Richa Ghosh helped India match the Australian total. India eventually triumphed by four runs in the Super Over to draw the series at one. Both teams will be fired up for the third meeting, which will take place at Brabourne Stadium on Wednesday.
