The T20 League
Cricket South Africa (CSA) and SuperSport TV announced in early April that they would start a T20 league with six privately owned teams beginning in January 2023.
The six franchises in South Africa’s first T20 League will be able to sign players from a world-class pool of some of the best cricketers in South Africa and around the world. All of the Proteas players under contract and the South African players who have already committed to the League are on top of this.
A team of 17 players will represent each of the six organizations. However, they will be permitted to recruit up to five players prior to the auction, which will include three foreign players, one Proteas player, and one South African player who has never represented his nation.
Cricket Former captain Graeme Smith will be in command of South Africa’s inaugural T20 competition, the South African Cricket Association (CSA) announced in July. The League is presently accepting applications from players from a wide variety of nations for the 2023 season and beyond. There will be an auction in the coming weeks, which will encourage more people to join the league. More than 30 of the top cricket players in the world have committed to playing in the first T20 League in South Africa.
