The second clash of the three-match ODI series between India and Zimbabwe will be played at Harare Sports Club today. If Team India wins this match then it will be the 7th consecutive series win for the men in blue against ZIM. The last time team Zimbabwe defeated India in an ODI series was in 1997. After this, India won all the ODI series played between the two teams in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2013, 2015, and 2016. In the first ODI match, India won the match by 10 wickets.
Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill added 192 runs for the first wicket. While Deepak Chahar, Prasidh Krishna, and Moh. Siraj gave a brilliant performance with the bowl to totally outclass the Zimbabwe in 1st ODI. It was a one sided win for team India. Zimbabwe will try to give some competition to team India. They have to improve themselves in all the departments. Team was failed with both bat and ball in the 1st ODI.
Shikhar-Shubman will look to continue their form
Indian vice-captain Shikhar Dhawan and exciting young batsman Shubman Gill are in excellent form. Both players chase 190 runs in the last match. Both remained unbeaten till the end of the 1st ODI. Earlier in the ODI series against West Indies too. Both had a brilliant performance with the bat. Shubman Gill was the highest run-getter of the series. While Shikhar Dhawan was 2nd highest run-getters in the series.
Both teams may play with the same playing XI
This is the 2nd match of the series. Must important for both teams, hence team will go with their strongest XI. Zimbabwe will not leave any player too after a single match. They should back their boys to give them some confidence. India will also go with the same XI to seal the series. India will try their bench strength only after winning the series.
