The second and last T20I match of the India tour of Ireland will be played today. After winning the opener of the series, the Indian team is ahead 1-0. If the team in blue wins the second match, then it will win the 3rd series in T20Is this year. The Indian team has already won a series against Sri Lanka and West Indies so far this year. The series against South Africa ended at 2-2.
Rituraj was unable to bat in the 1st T20 due to strain in the calf muscles. If Gaikwad is not fully fit, then Sanju Samson can come into the team in place of him in the playing-11. In such a situation, once again Ishan Kishan and Deepak Hooda probably will open the innings. Sanju Samson would play in the middle order. If Rituraj Gaikwad is fit, then it is possible that India will play with the same eleven.
Pitch Report
We have seen the slow track in The Village, Dublin. Bowl is not coming with a good pace to the bat. However, the small boundaries of the ground help batsman too.
So far 15 T20Is have been played in Dublin. Out of these 9, the team batting second has won. In the first match of the series too, Team India won while batting second. In such a situation, after winning the toss, the captain can decide to bowl first.
Weather Forecast
Weather Forecast is not very promising for the second T20 match as well. The first match of the series was also rain-affected. We had seen only 12-12 over match on that day. Forecast for the today’s match is approximately the same.
- Temperature- 19/12
- Humidity- 62%
- Wind- 31 km/h
- Chances of Rain- 14%
Head To Head
Both teams have played 4 T20 International matches so far bilaterally. India has completely dominated Ireland. All four matches have been won by India.
India may play with the same bowling combination
India has come to play a series of only 2 T20 matches in Ireland. In so few matches, the team management would like that the player who has been given a chance to play should be given enough chances to prove himself.
