Rohit Sharma ruled out due to an injury
In the second match of the India-Bangladesh ODI series, captain Rohit Sharma suffered a hand injury while fielding. He was immediately taken to the hospital for an X-ray. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) informed about Rohit’s injury on social media.
Actually, the 9th over of the match was Shardul Thakur. On the fourth ball of the over, Bangladesh captain Liton Das went ahead and tried to play the shot. The ball did not hit the bat properly and took an outside edge and went backward.
Standing in the slips, Rohit Sharma tried to catch it, but the speed of the ball was very fast. The ball hit his palm near the thumb. He could not take the catch.
