In the first session of the fourth day on Sunday, the Indian team scored the required runs for 7 wickets with the help of Shreyas-Ashwin’s half-century partnership.
Both added an unbeaten 71 runs for the 8th wicket. After 90 years, there was a partnership of 70+ for the 8th wicket in the fourth innings of the Test from India. Shreyas Iyer scored 29 not out and Ashwin scored 42 runs.
