The Indian squad is presently playing a four-day practice match against the English county Leicestershire, ahead of the Test match against England starting on July 1. Star players like captain Rohit Sharma( 25 runs), former captain Virat Kohli( 33 runs), Hanuma Vihari( 3 runs), Shreyas Iyer( 0), and Ravindra Jadeja( 13 runs) could not show the resilience against the bowling of Leicestershire. For Leicestershire, emerging young fast bowler Roman Walker took five wickets for just 24 runs.
Four wickets fell at the score of 55 runs

Four Indian players are playing in Lister’s team so that further and further players of Team India can get the practice of England’s condition. These include fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidha Krishna, incremental from batsman Cheteshwar Pujara and wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant. Prasidh Krishna took a wicket( Shreyas Iyer) on the first day’s play.
