India to be back for exhibition football tournament in Vietnam: According to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), India will participate in an international exhibition tournament as one of the two guest teams in September.
Hanoi – The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has announced that India will be one of the two guest teams in an international exhibition event it will be hosting in September.
The All India Football Federation (AIFFparticipation )’s in international competition had previously been prohibited by a suspension issued by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), which was removed on August 26.
The next competition is seen as Vietnam’s warm-up for the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022, which is scheduled for the end of the year.
The competition, which will take place in Ho Chi Minh City on FIFA days, will feature matches between the Vietnamese national team and Singapore and India. The winning team in the competition is the one with the most points.
On September 21, Vietnam will take on Singapore, and six days later, India. On September 24, a game between the two visiting teams will take place.
On September 17, the Vietnamese athletes are expected to reunite for practice.
The competition will take place on FIFA days, when domestic leagues are off for international friendlies. Vietnam will use this competition as a warm-up for the 2022 AFF Cup, which will take place at the end of the year.
Park Hang-seo, the head coach of Vietnam, is now constantly observing domestic competitions to choose elite players and uncover further talent for the competition.
On the FIFA list, Vietnam is ranked 97th. At 104th and 159th, respectively, are Singapore and India.
On June 1, Vietnam beat Afghanistan 1-0 in the most recent friendly.
Igor Stimac, the coach from Croatia, has India in excellent shape. They won all three of their games in the final Asian Cup qualifiers to progress to the tournament.
