India defeats Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2022 final by five wickets: Hardik Pandya was great at everything, and he helped India beat Pakistan by five wickets in a thrilling Asia Cup game on Sunday.
Pakistan was only able to score 147 runs in 19.5 overs thanks to Pandya’s bowling. He ended up with 3/25 in 4 overs, and left-arm spinner Mohammed Nawaz’s winning six came in the last over he bowled. Pandya was not out when he hit 33 runs off 17 balls. Ravindra Jadeja helped with 35 runs in 29 balls.
KL Rahul was out for a golden duck when Naseem Shah took him out. This was an excellent start for Pakistan. Then, Virat Kohli came to the field, and so did the hopes of many Indians to see the King back in form. Pakistan’s players got their hopes back after a great first over, but Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli added 49 runs to steady the Indian innings. Mohammad Nawaz got rid of Rohit Sharma for 12 runs, and then Virat Kohli made a bad shot that ended his excellent run of 35.
Earlier, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Hardik Pandya had great spells that helped India bowl Pakistan out for 147. Bhuvneshwar set the tone early by getting rid of Babar Azam. In the middle overs, Pakistan lost three wickets for 10 runs after Hardik Pandya threw a series of short balls. From 87-2, Pakistan fell to 114-7 before a 19-run partnership between Shahnawaz Dahani and Haris Rauf helped Pakistan reach 147, which was still way below par. This happened after Rohit Sharma, the captain of India, won the toss and chose to bat first on a pitch that is expected to help seamers. India has surprised everyone by taking Dinesh Karthik instead of Rishabh Pant. As Pakistan tried to play out the first couple of overs, Arshdeep Singh, Avesh Khan, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar made up the pace attack.
