In the ongoing series of IND Vs NZ 2021, the first match is played in Green Park Stadium, Ajinkya Rahane leads the Indian team with Cheteshwar Pujara.
In the second match, Virat Kohli is returning to team India for the second match, this match is held at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
After Shreyas Iyer’s 105 and 65 runs in the debut Test, this Mumbai player will not be left out, which obviously has batting coach Vikram Rathore.
IND Vs NZ 2021 this cricketer will be out of team
Former opener Vikram Rathour on Sunday could not give a definite answer as to who would be out of the playing XI when skipper Virat Kohli returns for the next Test against New Zealand.
Vikram Rathod said,
‘The captain is making a comeback, it will be in the next match (Mumbai Test). We will decide on this when we reach Mumbai. Right now the focus is on this match, there is one day left in it and the match has to be won. When we reach Mumbai, we will talk about it.
Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara going through bad phase
In this IND Vs, NZ 2021 series Rathod fully understands that Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane are Indian players who are in the late stages of their Test careers.
“Obviously you want contributions from the top order but the cricketers (Pujara and Rahane) you mentioned have played 80 (Rahane 79) and 90 Tests (Pujara 91 Tests),” he said. Defending Rahane’s (19.57) under 20 and vice-captain Pujara’s 2021 Test average of 30.42, he said, ‘Surely he would have done well for us by playing so many matches.’
Further, Rathod said,
‘We understand that both are going through a bad phase at the moment but we understand that they have played important innings for us in the past. We are confident that he will come back and play important innings for us.
