IND against AUS
Three Indian players are capable of taking Rishabh Pant’s position in the Indian test squad. Rishabh Pant, a member of the Indian cricket team who plays wicketkeeper and batsman, was involved in an accident on Friday morning in Roorkee when his vehicle collided with a barrier near the Mangalore police station. Rishabh Pant sustained injuries to his head as well as his leg, and he is now being sent to a private hospital in the city of Dehradun for treatment. The Mercedes Benz driven by Rishabh Pant crashed through the barrier and caught fire after the collision. The collision happened at around 5:30 in the morning.
Wriddhiman Saha
Wriddhiman Saha was not included in India’s Test team for the series against Sri Lanka that was played at home in February. The 37-year-old cricketer, who was instrumental in the victory of Gujarat Titans in their first season of the Indian Premier League 2022 this year, had withdrawn from the Bengal setup after he was not selected for the Indian Test squad that would be travelling to Sri Lanka. After missing the first five league matches, he went on to score 317 runs for GT in 11 matches, including three half-centuries, after missing the first five league matches.
Wriddhiman Saha made his first-class debut for Bengal in 2007, and he has since competed in more than 100 first-class matches for both Bengal and Tripura. Wriddhiman Saha, an experienced Indian wicket-keeper batsman, got his maiden century in the Ranji Trophy while playing for Tripura. This was also his 14th fifty-over century.
Wriddhiman Saha is playing his 125th first-class match this season, which will take place in Tripura. He has scored more than 6,500 runs in the format during his career. Additionally, he has reached 39 half-centuries in this format up to this point, and his greatest score to date is 203*. Since making his debut in 2010 against the Proteas, he has participated in a total of 40 Test matches and has accumulated 1353 runs at an average of 29.41 while also catching 29 balls and stumping 12 batters. His most recent match was in December 2021 against New Zealand, although he might be called back into action for the four matches against Australia if Rishabh Pant is unable to play due to injury.
KS Bharat
KS Bharat made his debut in the Indian Premier League in 2021, playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). He played in a total of eight games during that season, scoring 191 runs at an average of 38.20 and a strike rate of 122.43.
After that, RCB let him go, and he was purchased by Delhi Capitals (DC) in the IPL 2022 super auction in Bengaluru for the equivalent of INR 2 crore, which is 10 times his base price. However, KS Bharat only appeared in two games during the IPL 2022 season and finished with eight runs.
In the meanwhile, KS Bharat submitted his bid for the IPL 2023 mini-auction with a starting price of 20 lakh INR. At the mini-auction for the next season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Gujarat Titans (GT) spent 1.20 crore rupees to acquire KS Bharat, a wicketkeeper and batsman who is 29 years old.
KS Bharat has scored a total of 4533 runs while representing Andhra in 84 first-class matches, average 37.46 and notching 9 hundreds and 25 fifties. Wridhiman Saha had complained of stiffness in his neck before to the start of play on Day 3 of the Kanpur Test between India and New Zealand in November 2021. KS Bharat replaced Wridhiman Saha behind the wickets following Saha’s complaint, and Bharat went on to take three catches behind the stumps.
Dinesh Karthik
When the veteran Dinesh Karthik was cut from the squad across all forms in 2019, it seemed that his time playing for India in international competition was coming to an end. Dinesh Karthik was in danger of losing his job after the poor performance he put in during the World Cup quarterfinal against New Zealand.
However, because to his outstanding play in the IPL 2022, his luck has entirely turned around. He played for Royal Challengers Bangalore-RCB in 16 matches of the Indian Premier League 2022 and scored 330 runs for the team at an incredible average of 55 runs and a remarkable strike rate of more than 183. Dinesh Karthik participated in the Twenty20 World Cup 2022 as well, however he was only able to score 14 runs over the course of four games. Dinesh Karthik, who is now 37 years old and played his first Twenty20 International in 2006, did not make many contributions on his comeback to the international stage.
Dinesh Karthik, an Indian veteran who plays wicketkeeper and bats, made his debut in a test match against Australia at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai in November of 2004. 2007 was an outstanding year for him in terms of his performance in Test matches. Since January of 2010, he did not take part in any of India’s Test matches, marking an absence of nearly eight years.
However, in June of 2018, he shocked everyone by making an unexpected return and playing in the one-off test match against Afghanistan in Bengaluru. He participated in two more Test matches during India’s catastrophic tour of England in 2018, but after that he did not wear the Indian cricket whites again. It is still unknown, though, if he would replace Rishabh Pant in the starting lineup for any of the four tests that will be played against Australia.
