Incredible Photos From Bayern Munich’s First Pre-season Training Session. With the new season approaching, it’s now time to get back to business. The first Bayern players completed their obligatory physical and performance tests over the weekend. A group of players including Sven Ulreich, Dayot Upamecano and Ryan Gravenberch finally began training on Monday at Sabener Strasse.
Bayern Munich’s first pre-season training session brought many different reactions from their fans; from excitement to apprehension. The new season has a lot of promise, but will they be able to improve on last year’s 6th place finish?
International players will get a few more days off after playing in June with new player Ryan Gravenberch playing his first training session as well with some first-team players still taking another couple of days off.
Supported by youth players from the FC Bayern Campus, head coach Julian Nagelsmann oversaw a 100-minute session. The training included strength and mobility drills and small competitions. Coach spoke about coming back from summer break: “It’s get into it and getting used to everyone,” he said. “The breaks were longer than usual so we’re thankful for being on the pitch again.”
John Gravenberch discusses conquering the world for games:
After the Dutch midfielder participated in just one of the team’s training sessions during pre-season, he went back to working on his own as part of the remaining three players. “It’s great to be here. It was a good session,” Gravenberch said after his debut with FC Bayern at their training ground yesterday. There are a total of nine training sessions in the first week at Sabener Strasse.” We’ll see you around,” Nagelsmann replied when asked what he thinks about Gravenberch sticking to his plan and staying on his own rather than joining the others.
The Bundesliga season is just around the corner, and with it comes the excitement of new players, new challenges and most importantly, football. As we get closer to the start of the season, it’s important to gear up and get ready for what’s to come. One way to do that is by getting physically prepared and mentally ready by training hard. Bayern Munich’s head coach Julian Nagelsmann oversaw a 100-minute session at their training ground Sabener Strasse. Along with John Gravenberch, who made his debut yesterday after returning from working on his own during pre-season, there are still nine more training sessions scheduled before opening day.
