Marcel Sabitzer, a Manchester United midfielder who had been out with an injury, has resumed training, but Antony was not present for Wednesday’s (March 15) session. The Red Demons are in real life on Thursday (Walk 16) when they face Genuine Betis in the second leg of the UEFA Europa Association Round of 16.
With a 4-1 victory over Benito Villamarin in the first leg, Erik ten Hag’s team is in control. Sabitzer’s return has provided him with motivation. The Austrian midfielder hasn’t played since the Premier League team’s 7-0 loss to Liverpool on March 5 due to a minor injury.
However, prior to Manchester United’s trip to Betis, Sabitzer attended the training. He has also been chosen to play in Austria’s UEFA Euro qualifiers at the end of the month by former Red Devils interim manager Ralf Rangnick.
He returns just in time for Ten Hag’s team to deal with Casemiro’s four-game suspension. He is eligible to play in the matchup with Los Verdiblancos, but he will be absent from his team’s next four domestic games. Unfortunately for Manchester United, Antony was not observed during the Carrington training session.
In the team’s goalless draw with Southampton on March 12, the Brazilian attacker was brought on as a substitute. He has battled for structure since showing up at Old Trafford from Ajax the previous summer for £82 million, scoring seven objectives and giving one aid in 29 games across rivalries. It is unknown how extensive his problem is.
Bacary Sagna predicts that Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur will finish ahead of Manchester United in the top four :
With victories in 15 of their 26 games, Manchester United is third in the league. Ten Hag’s team is on track to qualify for the UEFA Champions League, but they’ve fallen short of expectations recently. They were hammered 7-0 by Liverpool and drew 0-0 with Southampton, which was disappointing.
Sagna, a right-back who played for Manchester City, Arsenal, and Arsenal, has predicted that the Red Devils could fall outside the top four. The Frenchman thinks Tottenham and Newcastle could beat them to the Champions League.
When asked which of his former teams will finish in the top four, he told GGRecon:
“Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United It’s funny about Manchester United because you never know what to expect before a game.
Sagna went on to make reference to Ten Hag’s side’s inconsistent behavior:
“The game against Liverpool is an example of when you question the commitment of the players, even though they can be fantastic at times. It’s almost as if they never appear simultaneously.” On April 2, Manchester United will play in the league. They play Newcastle at St. James’ Park in a game that could have major implications for the top four.
