In a frantic La Liga match on Sunday, struggling Real Sociedad held Real Madrid to a goalless draw despite being battered at Santiago Bernabeu.
Only seven goals were scored by the visitors, who held their ground heroically and earned a point thanks to a string of saves by goalkeeper Alex Remiro. Real Madrid made 20 attempts, while the visitors made only seven.
Remiro denied Vinicius Jr. of two close-range opportunities, one in each half. The goalkeeper also stopped Karim Benzema, Toni Kroos, and Rodrigo’s crucial efforts. Remiro stated to Movistar Plus, “I’m happy with the point earned and my personal effort.”
