In his 29-ball performance, Man of the Match Powel hit three sixes and as many fours. As the Dubai Capitals went 187 for 6, opening pitchers Joe Root and Sikandar Raza, both of whom scored 26 runs, gave him solid support.
In response, the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders only managed 114 runs and lost nine wickets.
For Dubai Capitals, Powell (2/15), Akif Raja (2/20), and Mujeeb Ur Rahman (2/16) each took six wickets. Uthappa and Root put on 35 runs for the first wicket before Ali Khan, a US right-arm medium pacer, bowled Joe Root.

After that, Powell began his performance by crushing the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders’ bowlers into every corner of the field before leaving in the fifteenth over. Isuru Udana only allowed seven runs to score in the third over. In the fifth over, Akif Raja slowed things down and bowled Brandon King out. After Abu Dhabi was 71 for 3 after ten overs, Stirling continued his work. Stirling hit 50 off 36 balls as Abu Dhabi chased down the required 117 runs in the final ten overs.
When Powell struck once more in the 12th over, Stirling, who appeared to be dangerous, was caught by Root at long-on for 54. His 38 shots included five sixes and a boundary.
