IIHF Tournament 2022: World Juniors schedule out. The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) and Hockey Canada came ahead with the announcement of the World Junior Championship. The tickets for the event are also out now for sale. The championship is going to commence at Rogers Place in Edmonton from 9 to 20 August 2022.
Game Schedules & Sequences
The championship is all set, to begin with, the quick neighboring clash between Czechia and Slovakia. Post that, there would be matches between Latvia vs. Finland and USA Vs. Germany. All the remaining teams of the ten-team event will begin on 10th August. The first ones in the sequence would be Sweden and Switzerland at the noon game. Canada will face Latvia in the evening followed by Germany and Austria in the late evening.
Team Divisions
- Canada, Finland, Czechia, Slovakia, and Latvia are set to play in Group A.
- The United States, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria will play in Group B.
- The top four teams of each group will move to the quarter-finals.
There would be two to three games per day at Rogers Place. It will be followed till the preliminary round ends on 15th August. Apart from that, the four-quarter finals will be played on 17th August. The semi-finals are scheduled for 19th August and the medal game for 20th August. Two semi-finals are scheduled to be played on the same day with fans in the audience.
