The International Cricket Council on Monday released the groupings and schedule for the 2023 Women’s T20 World Cup in South Africa. Harmanpreet Kaur and co. will play both England and Pakistan in the group round. West Indies and Ireland are included in Group 2 along with the other three teams.
Hosts South Africa, the defending champions Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh make up Group 1, with South Africa and Sri Lanka squaring off in the tournament’s opening match on February 10, 2023, in Cape Town.
The group stage matches will go on until February 21, 2023, and the semi-finals will take place on February 23 and 2023, respectively, with a reservers’ day coming after each. On February 27, 2023, the final will be held in Cape Town. The 10-team competition in South Africa will mark the competition’s eighth iteration. The most successful team has been Australia, which has won five titles. West Indies and England have each won one.
