This problem is created by Sri Lanka, because of which South Africa is in benefits and Australia loses its place.

In the World Test Championship 2021-23, India plays 12 matches and won 6 matches. It is not easy for India sure place in the Finals.
To play the decider match, India will have to win all the remaining matches. Still, India is going to play 4 Test matches against team Australia and 2 Test matches against Bangladesh.
If Man in Blue wins all these matches, then it will have 68.05 percent marks.
If India has to play the final match, then it has to be in the first or second position in the points table.
Recently, the English team defeated India in the last Test and drew the 5-match series 2-2.
Team India suffered a huge loss in the points table due to the loss in this test.

In the WTC the winning team gets 12 points for a match and then 4 points for a draw, and 6 points for a tie match
Whereas the winning team gets 100% points, 50% in case of a tie, 33.33% in case of a draw, and 0% in case of loss.
India is in a heavy loss in the points table and the team is in the third position.
But due to the slow over-rate, India’s 2 points were deducted and the team reached fourth place in the points table.
