Brad Hogg is a former Australian cricketer who competed in all formats of the game. He bowled left-arm wrist spin and batted left-handed in the lower order.
Former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg believes India would select uncapped left-hander Devdutt Padikkal over Sarfaraz Khan for the third Test against England in Rajkot.
With veteran batsmen Virat Kohli and KL Rahul absent, and Shreyas Iyer sidelined, it appears that one of Sarfaraz and Padikkal will gain a Test cap on February 15.
Brad Hogg outlined in a video on his YouTube channel why he feels Devdutt Padikkal is better suited to India’s current needs.
Devdutt Padikkal has scored an incredible 556 runs in only four Ranji Trophy games this season. Including a stunning 151 against Tamil Nadu last week.
He was also in top form for India A, scoring a century and half-century against the England Lions.

Brad Hogg says that Sarfaraz Khan suffers with speed
Brad Hogg seen Sarfaraz Khan struggle against tremendous speed in the IPL. He believes that with England playing Mark Wood in Rajkot, India would be better off selecting Devdutt Padikkal over Sarfaraz.
Hogg feels that if England can deal with Jasprit Bumrah’s danger. And get a batting pitch in Rajkot, they would be able to put pressure on India with their Bazball style.
England has made one alteration to their lineup, with Wood replacing Shoaib Bashir.
