Cricket Australia has made available the schedule for the Women’s Big Bash League, or WBBL, 2022-23. Beginning on October 13, the WBBL 2022–23 season will run through November 20. The opening game of the WBBL tournament will take place at the Great Barrier Reef Arena in Mackay between the Sydney Sixers and Brisbane Heat.
The Men’s Big Bash League’s eight city-based franchise teams will participate in the event. The current champions are the Perth Scorchers, who won their first championship in the previous WBBL season. Especially noteworthy is Cricket Australia’s decision to broadcast the Big Bash League worldwide. Big Bash League will be broadcast in India by Sony Network.
Sony Network has acquired the rights to broadcast the BBL in India. Sony provides seamless service on the OTT platform in addition to television broadcasting. The first six editions were broadcast live in India on Star Sports, but Sony Pictures Sports Networks will have broadcasting rights from 2017 to 2022.
