The complete schedule for the India National Cricket Team’s upcoming home series against Sri Lanka National Cricket Team was released on December 8 by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). A six-match limited-overs series between Sri Lanka and India in 2023 will consist of three ODIs and three T20Is. The entire series will be played in January 2023, and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to split the games up among six different locations.
The last time Sri Lanka played India was in February and March of 2022 when they lost a three-match T20I series and a two-match Test series by a score of 0-2. The India National Cricket Team will play Sri Lanka in a white-ball series to start the new year. The T20Is will be played in Mumbai, Pune, and Rajkot on January 3, 5, and 7.
In the meantime, the ODIs will be played on January 10, 12, and 15 in Guwahati Kolkata, and Trivandrum separately. The Men in Blue will play the New Zealand National Cricket Team in a three-match ODI and three-match T20I series from January 18 to February 1, following the Sri Lanka series. Hyderabad, Raipur, Indore, Ranchi, Lucknow, and Ahmedabad will host the matches.
The main Border-Gavaskar Trophy will then be held between India and Australia. Dharamshala, Ahmedabad, Nagpur, and Delhi will host the four Tests. In the meantime, India will conclude the home series with a three-match one-day international series against Australia on March 17, 19, and 22 in Mumbai, Vizag, and Chennai, respectively.
