The competition will begin with a match between Jaffna Kings and Galle Gladiators and last for 17 days until December 23. The competition will feature five teams, with Jaffna Kings serving as the current champions. Kusal Mendis and Thisara Perera, T20 international players for Sri Lanka, as well as international players like Carlos Brathwaite and Haider Ali, among others, will participate.
The matches will take place in Colombo at the R Premadasa Stadium, in Hambantota at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium, and in Kandy at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. The final will take place in Colombo.
In the league stage of the competition, each team will play twice against each other before the December 21 start of the knockout rounds. In qualifier one, the teams in first and second place in the league stage will face off, with the winner moving on to the final.
The winner of the eliminator, which will be played between the teams that finish third and fourth in the league, will play the loser. That match’s winner will advance to the final.
