From February 10 to February 26, 2023, the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup will be held in South Africa. South Africa Women and Sri Lanka Women will play their Group A opener at Newlands in Cape Town. This year will see the eighth Women’s Twenty20 World Cup.
Ten teams will compete in the 2023 Women’s T20 World Cup. Sri Lankan, Bangladeshi, South African, New Zealand, and Sri Lankan women are the members of Group A. Women from England, India, Ireland, Pakistan, the West Indies, and India makeup Group B.
The ICC event, which will feature 23 matches, is headed by Australia, which is the defending champion. After the games in the league stage, the top two teams from each group will move on to the semi-finals. The knockout matches will take place in Newlands, Cape Town, on February 23 and 24, and the final will take place there on February 26.
It is anticipated that the event will be broadcast to at least 179 distinct territories and a potential audience of over 900 million people, 12% more than the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020. This is partly due to increased coverage in the Americas.
