Indian women’s team lessens their chances to reach the knockouts after 6 wickets defeat against Australia. But they still have chances to make a place in knockouts. To qualify in the knockouts a team needs at least 10 points. which means a team needs to win at least 5 matches out of 7. Indian team win 2 matches out of 5 in the tournament so far and left with two more matches.
Now the qualifying scenario is, India has to win both the remaining matches and reach upto 8 points (Against Bangladesh on 22 March and against South Africa on 27 March) with a good net run rate. Because, along with India England, Bangladesh and New Zealand are also in the race to qualify on 8 points. So, later net run-rate will come into play. Therefore, India has to maintain a better run rate.

Teams already qualified for Knockouts
After defeating India at, Eden Park. Australia is qualified for the knockouts. Australia won 5 out of 5 matches and stand in number one position on the points table with 10 points and a run-rate of 1.424.
South Africa is not qualified yet. But, they are also unbeatable in the world cup yet. They won 4 out of 4 matches and have 8 points and a run-rate of 0.226. It is very clear that South Africa will easily qualify for knockouts. They need to win 1 match out of 3.
