South Africa has selected a 25-man team. They will begin a week-long training camp in Pretoria tomorrow in preparation for their trip to Australia. Their focus throughout the camp will be on red-ball cricket as they prepare for their first Test in 18 months and their debut against Australia.
“The next camp gives us the chance to focus on certain areas. And the squad to develop strength as we ready for Australia,” women’s selection chairman Clinton de Preez said in a statement.
Although the trip will encompass three formats, our major goal over the next few days is to prepare for the four-day Test Match. We are excited to face Australia on home soil.” The trip kicks out on January 27 with three Twenty20 Internationals, followed by three One-Day Internationals and a Test match.
