Over the next decade, Healy was a member of the squad as it achieved success. By the time he departed, Healy had the world record for most Test dismissals by a wicketkeeper.
Former Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Ian Healy has scolded Pat Cummins for being excessively nice about the West Indies following their defeat in Brisbane.
Healy felt the 30-year-old should have been more honest about how Australia failed to chase down a tiny score.
Australia finished 113-2 in their pursuit for 216. However, Shamar Joseph changed the game’s direction by returning Cameron Green and Travis Head on consecutive deliveries.
Overall, the right-arm seamer claimed seven wickets as the West Indies won by eight runs.
Speaking on SENQ Pat and Heals, Healy pointed out that Cummins’ praise for the West Indies obscures Australia’s poor performance in Brisbane.
The bright spot in Australia’s defeat was Steve Smith rediscovering his footing as an opener, finishing unbeaten at 91. However, the former captain was unable to elicit a supportive performance from any of his companions.
