Microsoft updates the selection of games available through its Xbox Game Pass subscription service to include one of 2022’s highest-rated titles. Xbox Game Pass adds two games, including one of 2022’s highest-rated titles.
Microsoft has updated the Xbox Game Pass game selection once more, this time with a new day-one release that is one of the highest-rated games for 2022. Xbox Game Pass additions are staggered throughout the month, allowing subscribers to anticipate multiple weekly additions to the service.
This week has undoubtedly not been an exception to the rule, as Game Pass has already added a number of new games.
On December 6, two new LEGO Star Wars games were released, kicking off the week: The Star Wars Trilogy and Hello, Dolly! Star Wars LEGO: Even though the Skywalker Saga is a bit older, its addition to the lineup was still significant because it was one of the games of the year that sold the most copies.
In contrast, Hello Neighbor 2 was released on the same day, and those brand-new games are what really make Game Pass the most valuable option.
Today’s Xbox Game Pass additions are also noteworthy. The Xbox One version of Metal is called One: The first-person rhythm-based shooter Hellinger is up for Best Score and Music at The Game Awards.
Metal’s Xbox Series X version: Even though the Xbox One version of Hellinger was added to Game Pass as a day-one release earlier this year, those who have not yet upgraded their console will be able to play it through their Game Pass subscription. Metal: Chained Echoes, which was released on day one and is now one of the most highly-rated new video games of the year, follows Hellsinger.

Chained Echoes is the third-highest-rated game of the year, behind Elden Ring and God of War Ragnarok, thanks to reviews that have been overwhelmingly positive so far. Chained Echoes is being hailed as one of the best JRPG games in years, but it is entirely possible that the overall review score will decrease as more reviews are published.
The game has received praise for almost everything it offers, and it seems likely that fans of SNES-era RPGs will especially enjoy it. Through Game Pass, interested parties can test it out on PC, consoles, and the cloud.
Chained Echoes may be one of the most significant Game Pass additions of the year, but more is coming up next week. High on Life, a brand-new day-one release from Squanch Games known for its outrageous humor will be added on December 13.
For the second half of December, there should be even more brand-new Game Pass games, but they haven’t been announced yet.
