Harshal Patel and Jasprit Bumrah Hold Skipper Rohit Sharma’s Support
Harshal Patel and Jasprit Bumrah Hold Skipper Rohit Sharma’s Support. Rohit Sharma, the captain of India, was very proud of his team after they beat Australia in the third and final T20I on Sunday in Hyderabad. Both teams had to win or lose, but it was the Men in Blue who were able to take the trophy home.
India lost both of its openers early on in its chase of 186, so it was up to Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav to finish the job. For the third wicket, they put together 104 runs by hitting extraordinary fifties. This was Kohli’s second hundred-run stand at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium. In 2019, he and KL Rahul put up 102 runs against the West Indies.
Suryakumar Yadav got the most runs with 69 in 36 balls. He now has 682 runs in 20 T20 games this year, which is the most of anyone. He passed DS Airee of Nepal, who has scored 626 runs in 17 games.

After they won, Rohit talked about how everyone had helped win the game.
“It’s a special place. We have had great memories playing for India and when I played for Deccan Chargers as well. The biggest positive was different individuals stepping up and delivering. You feel good about it as a management. The margin of error in T20s is small. We took our chances, we were brave as well. Sometimes it doesn’t come off. There are areas to improve as well,” Rohit said at the post-match presentation.
The Indian captain also talked about how Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel were able to play again after being out with injuries. Both fast players weren’t at their best in this series, but Rohit hoped they’d get back on track soon.
“Not easy coming back after a break against a tough team. They (Bumrah and Harshal) will take some time. Hopefully, they can get back into their groove in the next series,” Rohit concluded.
After beating Australia 2-1, India will host South Africa for three T20Is starting on September 28, followed by the same number of ODIs. The series against the Proteas will be the last chance for the Men in Blue to get in some practice before they fly to Australia.
