The Commonwealth Games 2022 is going on here in Birmingham, England. The mega event started yesterday and will run till 8 August. All commonwealth countries are ready to take part in the current edition of CWG. Indians players are also ready to celebrate this year’s Independence Day on the soil of Britain. Women’s crickets are playing for the first time in the history of the Commonwealth Games this year.
Total of 8 cricketing playing nations participating in the cricket sports here in Birmingham. The Indian Women’s cricket team is playing their opening match against World Champion Australia in the Commonwealth Games 2022. Cricket is going back in the CWG. The women’s cricket is going to participate first time in the event.
Harmanpreet scores the first half-century of the Commonwealth Games
Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur creates the history in Commonwealth Games. Harman scored the first half-century of the Commonwealth Games. Remembering women’s cricket is playing first time in the CWG this year. The Indian skipper scored brilliant 52 runs in just 34 balls. She helped to take the team score to 154 runs.
India is missing the service of Pooja Vastrakar
Indian young all-rounder Pooja Vastrakar is not playing 1st match of the Commonwealth Games 2022. She was unable to play in today’s match due to being Covid-19. Pooja has been in very good form recently and is the only fast bowling all-rounder in the Indian team. India is playing with a less pacer in the match due to her unavailability.
