Russia’s Games Priest Oleg Matytsin said his country’s “experts will be
eager to assist in coordinating the Olympic Games in India”.
WHILE IT keeps on being shunned from world game following the attack of
Ukraine, Russia has proposed to help India in facilitating the 2036 Olympics
assuming the bid gets backing from the Global Olympic Advisory group (IOC).
Russia’s Games Priest Oleg Matytsin said his country’s “experts will be eager to assist in sorting out the Olympic Games in India”. Albeit no substantial authority move has been made, India has more than once communicated interest to have the 2036 Games with Ahmedabad as
the focal city.
Last year, Indian Olympic Affiliation (IOA) president Narinder Batra proposed an
exceptional multi-city bid that will be based on Ahmedabad as the key objective. Two months prior, Gujarat’s Supporter General Kamal Trivedi told the Gujarat High Court that “we are getting ready for the Olympics of 2036” and that the “Olympic Council will visit in 2025”.
