Guerrilla Games affirmed another installment in its Horizon franchise, telling fans that Aloy and her friends will proceed with their excursion across the machine-ridden post-whole-world destroying world they started investigating in Horizon Zero Dawn and its sequel Horizon Forbidden West. This declaration comes less than seven days after the release of Burning Shores, the DLC for Horizon Forbidden West taking Aloy and her companions to the volcanic ruins of Los Angeles.
The story of Aloy started in 2017 with the release of Horizon Zero Dawn, an activity RPG following the youthful huntress, as she attempted to reveal the mysteries of her past in a world, overwhelm by monster machines that cleared out most of mankind. Guerrilla Games released Horizon Forbidden West in 2022, proceeding with the adventures of Aloy as she went to the Western US to save everybody from a world-finishing danger.
