The voice of God of War: Ragnarok’s Tyr, Ben Prendergast, possibly hints at the fate of the series, causing wild speculation among players.
One of the leading voice actors in God of War: Ragnarok has hinted about the fate of the series during a board throughout the end of the week. His comments have caused a lot of speculation and driven numerous to puzzle over whether a sequel to God Of War: Ragnarok may currently be in the works. Ben Prendergast, a productive voice entertainer who has dealt with various games throughout the long term, was speaking at a board for the yearly gaming occasion PAX East this end of the week.
Prendergast is the notorious voice of Tyr from the latest game, God of War Ragnarok. Tyr is a mysterious person who spends a great deal of time assisting Kratos and Atreus on their excursion, leading to a pivotal turning point towards the finish of the game. Fans have been unsurprisingly irritated up by a seemingly offhand remark Prendergast made during the board.
While those attending the board were expecting an exciting first-hand investigation of the making of the game and a fan retrospective on the stupendous accomplishment it represents, they left with much more than this. Prendergast, at one point during the board, was discussing the eventual fate of Tyr’s job in the franchise in general, when he dropped a small however powerful bombshell by telling the crowd this game “isn’t the last you’ve seen of Tyr”. Tyr is one of many characters whose story is left distant from over toward the finish of the game. There are a lot of other open threads and loose ends left available to oblige a sequel to God of War: Ragnarok such as the unseen Sinmara.
This hint was dropped just before the board happened to the back and forth discussion section, so normally a great deal of the questions surrounded the possible sequel. Given God of War: Ragnarok’s sales of more than 11 million copies in just a couple of months from release, few would have been surprised by a sequel declaration, however, fans were energetic for details. Prendergast proceeded to say that he had as a matter of fact signed an NDA and just knew somewhat about the arranged eventual fate of the series, and couldn’t say more than he had proactively uncovered.
Like its predecessor, God of War: Ragnarok is probably not going to get any DLC. This truly leaves just a single conclusion to be drawn from Prendergast’s comments: the personality of Tyr will return in a completely new game. Given the fame of both the most ongoing entries in the franchise, a sequel to Ragnarok is to be completely expected, however, what might have surprised many fans is the manner by which soon the unsaid declaration showed up. However nothing is officially affirmed, Ragnarok was not declared as a sequel to 2018’s God of War until 2020, close to two years after its release, yet it seems that something may certainly be in the works.
God of War: Ragnarok is available now on PS4 and PS5.
