Players in Goat Simulator 3 can now wreak havoc on the human race, and one player demonstrates how the new game pays homage to the Star Wars franchise.
Goat Simulator 3 is out now, and in the open world, players are already finding cool Easter eggs. Goat Simulator 3’s chaotic world has been revealing interesting references to other franchises since its release on November 17.
Goat Simulator 3, developed by Swedish studio Coffee Stain Studios and the follow-up to 2014’s Goat Simulator, was unveiled in June 2022 at Summer Game Fest. Fans of the original game only had to wait a few months before playing as the most well-known goat in the gaming industry and wreaking more havoc on the world.
One player discovered a cool puzzle-shaped Star Wars Easter egg while out wreaking havoc as Pilger the goat. The player shared their discoveries on Tik Tok, and the video shows xGarbett perched atop a bell tower with three bells.
In order to create the Star Wars theme, they make Pilger ring the bells. This causes a pop-up to notify the player that they have successfully completed the in-game challenge titled “Imperial Mausoleum: The Tune’s Dark Side.”The player is then given the Pridesaber 2.0, a double-ended, multicolored lightsaber, as a reward.
Despite the fact that it’s simply a senseless joke, finding stowed-away references like this is important for what made the first Goat Test system enjoyable to play back in 2014.
The Goat Simulator games have made references to other franchises numerous times before. Goat Simulator 3 also made fun of The Elder Scrolls 5 in another segment: The iconic opening scene of Skyrim. The popularity of the first game was in part due to these references. Also, references like Star Wars one give players new tools like the “Pridesaber 2.0” to make the game more fun.
There is a lot to like about the Goat Simulator games, which is why they are so popular, even without all the parodies and references to other video games and popular culture. In point of fact, Goat Simulator received a skin in Fortnite as a result of the game’s almost cult-like status.
Even the trailer for Goat Simulator 3 was a parody of a Dead Island 2 trailer, so some may argue that the games in the Goat Simulator series rely too heavily on making fun of other franchises. On the other hand, all of the jokes and Easter eggs in the games are meant to be funny and usually contribute to the series’ undeniable charm.
Goat Simulator 3 is currently available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
