Who is Zion Suzuki?
Japan national team goalkeeper Zion Suzuki took birth on 21 August 2002 in Japan. He is currently 20 years old and his height is 1.90 m (6 ft 3 in). He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, United States, to a Japanese mother and a father of Ghanaian Ewe descent and was raised in Saitama Prefecture.
Suzuki signed a professional deal with the Urwa Reds at the age of 16. He made his J1 debut in May 2021 in a game against Vegalta Sendai and since then, he has kept a clean sheet in three consecutive games. As a youth player, Suzuki relocated to Japan. Afterward, he represented his adopted nation at every youth level. Yet, according to Transfermarkt, he is yet to make his full international debut.
He made his senior international debut for his country, in a win over Hong Kong at the East Asian Football Championship last year. He has only managed to start in five cup games this season as the club prefers Shusaku Nishikawa as a goalkeeper. In Manchester United, Zion can be used as a backup keeper.
