Rohan is the son of Indian cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar.
He thinks that all-rounder Shivam Dube has more or less established his position in India’s T20I selection following his good performances in the current three-match home series against Afghanistan.
Gavaskar believes that Dube is no longer merely a backup for Hardik Pandya, but has effectively carved out a space for himself at the top level.
Gavaskar told Cricbuzz that dropping the southpaw from the team would be difficult for the selectors to do.
Shivam Dube has done brilliantly in the present series against Afghanistan, scoring 60* and 63* in the first two matches. In addition, he has taken two wickets in his first few games.
