It appears that Germany has something to show in light of the upcoming 2022 World Cup in Qatar. When they were unexpectedly eliminated from the World Cup in just the first round in Russia in 2018, Germany experienced full humiliation. And there is no doubt that this has energized them for the World Cup this year.
For Germany, it’s all about controlling the ball and applying pressure. The squad must advance cautiously, maintain possession of the ball, and apply pressure to the opposing team to compel turnovers, according to head coach Hansi Flick.
As a special measure brought in owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, national managers were permitted to invite 26 players to the European Championship last summer. This was the first time at a major event.
As opposed to the customary 23-man teams, 26-player squads will once again compete in the World Cup in Qatar.
