Ratan Chahar is returning international player after six months of being absent due to injury. He bowled 7 successive overs in the start of the match and admitted that it took him some time to get into a rhythm. He was thanked post game by commentator Rohan Gavaskar as he was mentioned that Ratan looked “rusty” becoming the player of the game.
The commentator, Rohan Gavaskar said they felt rusty today. They admitted to it anyway. But the more you bowled, the easier is rhythm was found? That’s what Alan Wilkins asked Chahar in a presentation
He let out a laugh and acknowledged the pressure of an international match, which is incomparable. He admitted that he has played a few practice matches, but the rigors of an international game will always remain incomparable.
Earlier this morning, I played some helpful practice games. I played 4 to 5 games. In a game for my country, you have to give your entire effort and 100 percent. I’m not sure if my body’s ability was well-communicated with my mind, but then things went smoothly after a few early overs.
KL Rahul was one of the Indian players who was back in the team, playing alongside Virat Kohli in this ODI. He wasn’t able to get a chance to bat in the game today, as he is playing at the number 3 position and Shubman Gill who has been doing well for India is playing at number 4 instead.
