Gal puts his hand up to fight Hodges or Hannant
Gal puts his hand up to fight Hodges or Hannant. Paul Gallen has said he is game for a retirement bout with the victor of Justin Hodges and Ben Hannant.
As an undercard bout to Liam Wilson vs. Matias Rueda in Brisbane on Wednesday, a fight between Hodges and Hannant has been scheduled.
If they prevail on Wednesday, the two former NRL, State of Origin, and Kangaroos colleagues have identified Gallen as a possible future opponent.
Hannant is going for his first fight as a professional boxer, while Hodges is going for his fifth.
Though Gallen has stated on multiple occasions that he will retire from boxing by the end of the year, he is still one of the greatest stars in the sport in the United States.
The former captain of the Sharks and Blues is ready to face off against whoever defeats Hodges and Hannant.
They’re giving it a shot, they’re attracting new fans to the sport, and “What Gallen revealed to Sporting News.
Hodgo looks better than he has in a long time, and I saw him without his shirt yesterday.
“I’ve had the pleasure/joy of playing some test football with both of them, and Ben Hannant is a dedicated athlete.”
“They will be physically and mentally ready/prepared for it in every way possible.”
“They’ve both been calling me out, I don’t know if it’s true or not. Regardless of who wins, I’d be game.”
More about Gallen
Gallen suffered his second career defeat last month when he lost a close points decision to Kris Terzievski.
The legendary rugby league player, who will soon turn 40, has one more fight left on his contract with promoter No Limit.
Few would begrudge Gallen an easy farewell bout against another former footballer because of his evident role in the present boom in Australian boxing.
“I’m not opposed to it if it makes sense, so long/extended/elongate as it does, In other words: he said.”
“I’ve never turned down a battle before. I’m game if we can figure out who the winners are and what the outcomes will be.”
“I have full faith in my abilities and enter every conflict/contest/match with the conviction that I will prevail.”
