FPL Creating A Team
The essence of the game remains unchanged. A squad of 15 players including two five defenders, goalkeepers, five midfielders and 3 attackers must be selected from an initial budget of £100 million.
FPL Create your Playing XI
Each game week, you can select one of the following formations for your commencing lineup: 3-5-2; 3-4-3; 4-5-1; 4-4-2; 4-3-3; 5-4-1; 5-3-2; 5-2-3. A goalkeeper, at least 3 defenders, two midfielders and one forward are needed. The most general and successful formations in past seasons seem to be the 3–5–2 and 3–4–3.
You can choose your starting XI, captain and vice-captain for each game week on the ‘My Team’ tab as well as make as many changes to your squad as you want before the Gameweek 1 deadline via the ‘Transfers’ tab. When a player is your captain, the actual number of points for that game week is doubled. If your captain is absent from the game, your vice-captain’s points are doubled.
After selecting your starting lineup, you’ll need to order your bench for the automatic option. If your starting goalie doesn’t play, your backup will take over at the end of the game week, assuming he has played. Unless it violates the above formation restrictions, your highest priority outfield option that appeared on the field during that game week will take the place of any of your outfield starters who are unable to play.

FPL Mini Leagues
FPL is all about participating in little leagues with friends, family and co-workers. After creating your team you can join mini league and start. Classic and head-to-head leagues are open to the creation or admission of managers.
In the classic league format, which lasts a full season, the manager with the most points wins when the last round of matches are played in May. Each game week in a head-to-head format, one FPL team competes against another team in the league. Each team’s score is used to determine the result of the match, minus any transfer points spent.
Similar to a “real” league, head-to-head managers receive three points for a win, one for a tie and none for a loss. If two or more managers finish with the same number of league points, the manager with the most FPL points overall wins. A Mini League can have any number of participants, but managers are only allowed to play in a maximum of 25 Mini Leagues.
FPL Making transfers
Once the season starts, you are allowed one free transfer per game week. If a manager doesn’t use up their free transfer in a week, they can carry it over to the next week and get two more free transfers. However, you are only given two free transfers.
You can transfer as many players as you want each game week, as long as you stay within your budget; But, every move you make that exceeds your free transfer allowance will cost you four points. Also, keep in mind that the time limit is always 90 minutes before the first kickoff of each game week. So, keep an eye on Friday night’s games.
FPL Chips
To increase your scores throughout the season, FPL managers can use the following five chips:
- Triple Captain: Instead of receiving double credit for the game week, your captain player receives triple credit.
- Bench Boost: In game weeks where you use this chip, all your choices earn points.
- Free Hit: Pick an entirely new team for the game week you play this chip with no points deducted. Your squad’s original lineup will return for the upcoming Gameweek.
- Wildcard: You can completely change your team (make as many moves as you want) by playing Wildcard without any points deduction. There are two wildcards available to managers each season, and the first must be used by Gameweek 20 (December 30). The second is accessible towards the end of the campaign, after Gameweek 20.
FPL Price changes
Throughout the season, player prices vary depending on the transfer activity of FPL managers. If the player is a popular transfer target for many managers his price will increase. Similarly, if a player is being taken out in large numbers his price may drop. A player’s value cannot change by more than £0.1 million per day and by more than £0.3 million from one game week to the next.
For example, if you pay Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic for his initial price of £7.5 million and that later rises to £8.0 million, you would collect £7.7 million if you sell him for that price. do.
