According to reports, the 30-year-old has rejected a new contract offer by Cardiff and is planning to leave Hillsborough, Sheffield. There has been speculation of interest from the Championship, with Wigan showing interest in traveled striker. Mendez-Laing just signed with the Owls in November 2021, initially on a one-year agreement. However, the contract extended until he scored two goals and added three assists in 19 games.
Will Vaulks, a transfer target for Sheffield Wednesday, is on his way out of Cardiff City.
