Antetokounmpo was given a one-game, unpaid NBA suspension on Saturday for physically assaulting Griffin.
Boston Celtics had beaten Milwaukee Bucks by 140-99 on Thursday night. Jayson Tatum’s performance for the Celtics was the team’s best. He had 40 points, eight quick rebounds, and one assist.
However, a particular episode involving Bucks forward Thanasis Antetokounmpo and Celtics forward Blake Griffin had received a lot of attention. With 1:25 remaining in the fourth quarter, Thanasis had headbutted Griffin during the match. After eight minutes of play, Thanasis was disqualified for the incident, for which he had one point and one assist.
Antetokounmpo’s headbutt had injured Griffin. After withdrawing from the effect, the Celtics star should have been visible making fun of Antetokounmpo. Even his genuine desire for Jaylen Brown’s facemask to remain safe was mocked by him.
Meanwhile, Antetokounmpo’s more youthful sibling Giannis played his best game for the Bucks, scoring 24 focuses, snatching seven bounce back, and giving two helps.
When the Milwaukee Bucks play the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday, Thanasis will serve his suspension. He has played in 33 games this season, averaging 4.2 minutes per game and 0.8 points and 0.9 rebounds.
