For 2023 The Dolphins Signed Kodi Nikorima
For 2023 The Dolphins Signed Kodi Nikorima. Kodi Nikorima will be part of The Dolphins in 2023. Recently he signed a two-year deal with this club. Kodi is now 28 years old.
He moved to South Sydney almost midway through this year. Nikorima will move to Redcliffe in the coming season. Kodi’s target will be to add depth to the number of positions at the side of Wayne Bennett.
Nikorima is empowered to play in the halves, hooker, fullback, or off the bench. He is an attractive spine player, and that’s why Bennett moved to sign him.
He started his journey with the Broncos. It was in the year 2015. This move to Redcliffe allowed Nikorima to return with a full circle in the NRL career.
Terry Reader CEO of Dolphins appreciated the advantage of his experience. Terry said this after his return to Queensland.
Reader said, “We are pleased to be able to provide the opportunity for Kodi and his young family to return to Queensland,”.
“Kodi is yet another example of one of the reasons the Dolphins were brought into the competition – to allow local Queensland players to play NRL in the areas they were developed.
“He joins others such as Felise Kaufusi, Tom Gilbert, and Edrick Lee who will be doing just that.
“We know he is a very dangerous player as a hooker who can also provide cover for other positions across the backline.
“Kodi has more than 150 NRL games to his name as well as playing Tests for New Zealand and importantly has a history of performing under our head coach Wayne Bennett.”
Nikorima might line up along with Sean O’Sullivan in the halves. The club is unlikely to attract Cameron Munster to move away from Melbourne in the coming year.
All that we need to do is to wait and watch. How will be Kodi Nikorima’s performance for The Dolphins?
