“The match was highly competitive, even though it was meant to be a friendly game,” noted Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta. “Playing in front of 70,000 fans created an electric atmosphere, and all the players were elite and determined to win. Towards the end, it became too intense to be considered a friendly match, but it was a great experience for everyone who came to watch.”
Barcelona faced some uncertainties concerning the health of their players before the match on Wednesday. The club had to cancel their first Soccer Champions Tour match against Juventus due to several players catching a virus.
Despite this setback, Barcelona started strong and scored in the seventh minute of the game. Abde Ezzalzouli, the Barcelona winger, broke free and found his teammate Raphinha on the left side of the goal.
Raphinha’s shot was stopped by Arsenal’s goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, but Lewandowski seized the
opportunity and scored the rebound, giving Barcelona a 1-0 lead.
During a football match between Arsenal, who are owned by Kroenke Sports Enterprises, and Barcelona, Saka scored a goal for Arsenal within just six minutes after getting a deflection on the right side of the goal.
He took his chance and successfully levelled up the score.
Saka was granted another opportunity to score on a penalty kick in the 21st minute, but he
unfortunately missed it and the ball went wide to the right.
In the 34th minute, Barcelona took advantage of a free kick and Raphinha
shot from outside the right side of the box.
Unfortunately, the ball hit Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard’s right arm, causing it to change
direction and go into the right side of the goal, which made it impossible for Ramsdale to save.
