First Inter-school Cricket Championship organized: There’s nothing like the sport of cricket to bring people together. Today, a new initiative called the First Inter-School Cricket Championship was organized by PEFI with Trikuta Cricket and Football Academy and Elite Sports with assistance from Railway Ground.

The first semifinal match was played between Jodhamal Public School and Delhi Public School Jammu. After winning the toss, Jodhamal supplied their team with a total score before batting. The result was a huge 198 run total, by losing only 3 wickets, from 20 overs in innings.
For Delhi Public School, Ashutosh Mahajan took 2 wickets giving away 50 runs in 4 overs while Ashank Sharma took 1 wicket. DPS Jammu made 139 runs by losing 8 wickets in 20 overs, with 36 of those provided by Mahajan and 17 created by Krishna Nagar and Gurtaj Singh both scored 18 runs. For Jodhamaal School, Ridhman Sharma took 3 wickets, Sanam Tegvansh and Madhur took 1 wicket each.
Thus Jodhamal Public School in the final beat down DPS Jammu by 59. Tegvansh Singh from Jodhamal Public School Jammu was chosen as the player of the match.
The officials of the match were Balbir Singh and Dalvir Thakur, who is a member of the Physical Education Foundation of India (J&K Chapter). The tournament is being organized by Sukomal Ganguly under her overall supervision.
The inaugural PEFI inter-school Cricket Championship was successfully organised by the Physical Education Foundation of India (PEFI) in collaboration with Trikuta Cricket and Football Academy and Elite Sports at Railway Ground, here today. The tournament saw participation from over 20 schools from all around India and culminated in a final match.
