FIFA World Cup 2022: Turkey to send military troops for security: FIFA World Cup 2022 is all set to take place this year, Qatar is going to host the world cup. Qatar is preparing for the FIFA World Cup since they were announced as hosts.
As they are hosting a global sporting event for the first time, Qatar is taking extra precautions. They do not want to end up like South Africa which could not host more than League games. It was initially announced that Qatar is going to bring a police force from Turkey to raise the security quotient in Qatar.
On Wednesday Turkey’s Parliament approved the deployment of Turkish soldiers to Qatar. To help them maintain security during the FIFA World Cup 2022.
With the show of hand, lawmakers passed an approval to send an unspecified number of troops to the Gulf country for the next 6 months.
The ruling party legislator and former Turkish Defense Minister, Fikri Isik says ” the deployment will involve 250 Troops and a corvette-class naval vessel.”
Turkey troops will join other military troops for the FIFA world cup security
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan requested the Parliament’s approval to deploy troops explaining the motion submitted last week. That the Turkish soldiers are going to join other forces from France, Britain, Italy, Pakistan, and the United States.

At the beginning of the Year, the interior ministry announced that Turkey is going to deploy 3,250 Turkish police officers to Qatar. In addition, this will include 100 special operation police and 50 explosive Exports.
