FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 schedule with the venue and how to watch online: The draw for the 2023 FIBA World Cup of basketball took place on Saturday (April 29) in Manila, the capital of the Philippines.
Holders Spain were drawn in Group G with the Islamic Republic of Iran, Côte d’Ivoire, and Dirk Nowitzki thanks to the assistance of Luis Scola, Jorge Garbajosa, and Dirk Nowitzki.
With Jordan, New Zealand, and Greece in Group C, the Olympic champion United States will compete against two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia – who failed to qualify – will host the tournament which begins on August 25 and ends with the final on September 10 at the Mall of Asia arena in Manila.
Hosts were able to select teams to pre-allocate venue groups. It saw the Philippines in Group A at the Araneta Coliseum in Manila and the United States in Group C at the Mall of Aisa Arena.
Slovenia, led by Luka Doncic, was placed in Groups E and F in Okinawa, Japan, while Canada was assigned to Group H in Jakarta, Indonesia.
