Ferrari profile Official Merchandise – Year on Year. It is true for many of us, that Ferrari and Formula 1 racing seems inseparable. Do you know the solo team which competed in all seasons since the time the world championship began? It’s the Prancing Horse, that has grown like a humble dream of founder Enzo Ferrari. Now it emerged as one of the most trusted and iconic brands in the industry.
Success tasted quickly via the likes of Alberto Ascari and John Surtees. The same continued during the leaner times with Niki Lauda in the 1970s. It was then Michael Schumacher in the 2000s, and Ferrari claimed unprecedented consecutive FIVE title doubles. It secured their status as the highly decorated and successful team in F1 history.
2021
There was no sign of a title challenge, but growing strong year on year. This steady improvement helped to lift the McLaren for P3 overall. It doubled the 2020 points tally for them.
Charles Leclerc got outscored by the new addition, Carlos Sainz. The Spaniard took four podiums to his teammate’s one.
2020
2020 witnessed its worst performance in the last four decades. They failed to win a race. They just scored three podiums and stood sixth in the standings.
Sebastian Vettel earlier told me that his contract will not get renewed for 2021. It was Charles Leclerc, who scored 98 out of the total 131 points of the team.
2019
The pattern of losing continued in recent years. They failed to win a single race until August’s Belgian GP. Although they remained clear pre-season favorites and had the quickest car. A tense and yet expensive rivalry witnessed the newcomer, Charles Leclerc. He out-scored his teammate (veteran) Sebastian Vettel. Charles scored two victories.
