FC Bayern’s away shirt returns to white with golden accents
FC Bayern’s away shirt returns to white with golden accents. Bayern Munich will wear their away shirt that Adidas is releasing this season in white with golden accents. The Münchner Kindl, a symbol of the city and something that represents Munich, was introduced on the back of the shirt again.
The sleeves and the three stripes will be gold, and players’ kits will include white shorts and white socks. The jersey includes cotton grown from plants that have been processed into cloth instead of trees, using recycled materials that the player’s skin would have worn and discarded.
Jan chrisitan Dressen who is the vice chairman conveyed that with this jersey, the team is displaying their connection to Munich. Moreover, the club is proudly connected with Munich on many different levels. These levels manifest in campaigns and social projects like aid for refugees of the Ukraine or the organization “Reds against Racism.” All of these activities have a greater impact beyond just football.
Lord Mayor of Munich Dieter Reiter relayed that FC Bayern Munich has always represented the city. They are also demonstrating their connection with the city by wearing their jerseys.
Hannah Beer, the City of Munich’s Head of the Department of Labour and Economics, who is in charge of the city’s tourism marketing said that FC Bayern is a true Münchner Kindl. Some would define what Münchner Kindl means by answering with one word: Oktoberfest or FC Bayern. The club is know and loved all around the world. A sports club that acts as an ambassador for our city that helps shape the image of our city worldwide. So what could be more natural than a cooperation between the City—the club and we, their supporters?
FC Bayern München’s home city is showcased in July during the Audi Summer Tour with a welcome message from its own club. With the local refugee housing project, FC Bayern is also part of the Munich City Tour and competes against other major clubs to win urban prizes and various projects with the city.
This new away kit has made its debut exclusively at the official Bayern Munich shop, and will then be available in some specialist retailers on July 21.
