Recently, Nick Kyrgios said he never saw himself participating on the ATP Tour and winning against players like Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic.
In his initial encounters with Djokovic, Nadal, and Federer, Kyrgios emerged victorious in every case. He presently has a 2-1 head-to-head advantage over the Serb.
In eight further meetings against Nadal, Kyrgios prevailed in three of them. Following his first match, the Australian was unable to defeat Federer anymore as the master from Switzerland rushed to a commanding 6-1 lead in their head-to-head record.
Fans are upset by Nick Kyrgios’s decision to commentate at the Australian Open in 2024
Since the Australian signed a new contract with Eurosport, tennis enthusiasts on the internet have conjectured that Nick Kyrgios will keep complimenting Novak Djokovic in his commentary.
Kyrgios will be a part of Eurosport’s commentary team at the Australian Open in 2024, the sports media outlet just revealed. The tennis player has been working in broadcasting during her more than six-month hiatus from competition.
In November 2023, the 28-year-old covered the ATP Finals for Tennis Channel as an announcer and commentator. Afterward, he registered with the subscription-based content portal OnlyFans. Eurosport is his newest destination.
Tennis fans on X, previously Twitter, have voiced their displeasure at Kyrgios’s newfound opportunity in spite of his contentious background. In February of last year, the Australian famously entered a guilty plea to beating his ex-girlfriend; but, he was not found guilty.
“Thankfully, the abuser shouldn’t be covering any of the matches I’ll be attending because he detests women. Terrible commentary choice, a fan commented.
Another admirer said, “This is very offensive. It is not the right decision to hire a convicted domestic abuser.”
A third spectator alluded to the Australian praising Novak Djokovic while watching the ATP Finals in November 2023 from the commentary box.
The fan wrote, “Is he going to simp nonstop for Djokovic again?”
